It has been a long long time...

Haven't been touching my blog for a very long time. But no worries, I'm still keeping updated with all your news and entries.

Coming back to work on a Friday after a public holiday is such a ddddddrrrrraaaaaagggg. Only saving grace - the weekend tomorrow.

Thursday being a holiday, Mambo-ed on Wednesday with colleagues. My first visit to Mambo in like 4 years! It was fun fun fun all the way. Heck, partied till 5am and took the first train home. Zombied the whole Thursday. :-)

Just updates

Have not been blogging for a long time now, since I'm in the office early today (surprise surprise!) thought might as well update some stuff.

Went to Batam for a short holiday with Alicia, JH, RJ and Vir. Alicia got her friends, Alex and Cliff along too. So that makes 7 of us. Nice little vacation, though a couple of things to complain about but somehow it didn't get on my nerves. Perhaps because my mind was set on relaxing for this trip. I could have more of such holidays, without any schedules or timings to follow.

Took leave on Monday to rest from the trip. Shoulders quite burnt and starting to itch now. What's worse is that I can feel the flu virus in my bones. Sniffing away while typing this actually.

The Team is going for an outing tomorrow, our long-awaited, much overdue team cohesion outing. Arranged for a high-tea cruise to Kusu Island and then dinner at Fullerton Hotel. All paid for my company. Can't wait to see how Kusu Island is like, don't thnk I have been there before.

It's been a week at the new office in Toa Payoh. Everything is bright and new. Still exploring new places to have lunch.

That's all for now. Stay healthy and smile always. :)

开工大吉!

First day of work after the CNY holidays. Feeling rather bored and sian, partly due to the lack of work (shh...) and the fact that I'm so sleepy.

Anyway, got this from icywindy so here goes:

Leave a comment and I will:

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - a song, a color, a photo, a word, a smell, etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.

Arty February...again

I have bought tickets to these 2 shows in February.

It's so typical of me to catch some play/musical for the Huayi Festival every year during the CNY period.
This year's choice of show is 现代《水浒传》 from Taiwan and I will be watching with a colleague of mine this time.

The second show needs no introduction as they having been staging it for like 4/5 years already?
The latest production of Dim Sum Dollies is a repeat of last year's one due to overwhelming demand. Since I missed it last year, die die also must watch it this time.
Let's see how they twist Singapore's history around this time...

change the worLd

Synopsis:
“The human whose name is written in the Death Note shall die.”

A God of Death dropped a notebook which had the power to kill people. Light Yagami (Tatsuya Fujiwara) found the notebook and tried to become Kira, God of a new crime-free world by executing criminals with the notebook. L (Kenichi Matsuyama), a genius detective confronted Kira who was his toughest enemy ever. At last, L managed to close the case of Kira but had to pay a painful price.

After making the hardest decision ever, another serious case confronts L. There are only 23 days left and without his best partner Watari (Shunji Fujimura), L has to solve the case all by himself for the very first time.

A boy and a girl hold the keys to solving this case and L had to get into a desparate situation to protect the kids. L has solved many cases previously through monitors and using his brain power as he has never appeared in public as L. This is the first and last case that he has to deal with people in person...

A person who obtains the most horrible weapon “Death God” created by human says the same thing as Kira... ”I am going to change the world.”

What will happen to L? Is anything in the world going to be changed? The turbulent 23 days even L cannot predict awaits him. The most exciting and moving countdown has now begun!

Sounds interesting. I want to watch!

New Year's Eve

A week into 2008 and I'm still missing the night at Siloso Beach on NYE. We're back on the same stretch that night as we counted down to 2008 in 2007. Hopefully, this year we could gather more people to join in the countdown. That's like 11 months away... but time do flies...

Hope the year has been kind to you so far...
Next up, Chinese New Year!!!

Thank you for 2007

2007 to me is a special year - I would call it 'the year of firsts'.

I started my first permanent job on the first working day of the year.
I got my first paycheck --> naturally it had to arrive right?
I went to Redang and snorkelled for the first time --> it's a big thing to me since you peeps know how afraid I am of the sea
I had my first tattoo --> on my right calf no less
I had my first major birthday bash
I dressed up really nice and glam for my first office dinner and dance --> yeah, the feedback from colleagues were positive.

I'm sure there are more 'firsts' in 2007 but the above were the more memorable ones.

2007 has been quite peaceful on the whole which I am very thankful for that, and it could not have happened without those around me.
For the nice colleagues and bosses I have at work
For the friends who are always there, to share laughter and problems
For the special someone who never gives up on me, and made me a better person inside and out

How will 2008 be for me? Hopefully it will be equally good or if not better. In all, I wish that everything is smooth-sailing and peaceful for me and my friends.

Happy New Year everyone! Stay safe and take care!

Mondays should be filled with surprises...

In one of my previous entries, I wrote that a colleague of mine hung a stocking at my cubicle which brighten up my gloomy Monday.

Today, I got 2 surprises!

These 2 presents were on my table when I arrived in the office today. 1 from a colleague who is going back to the Malaysia office soon (Phaik Li) and the other is from my lunch buddy (Irene).
Thank you so much! I'm definitely going to use the holder and will slowly eat the cookies. :-)

Handphone holder from Phaik Li (left) and Famous Amos from Irene (right)

For lunch, we had a team lunch at Seafood Harvest at Bugis Junction. At the same time, the team had also prepared a present for me. The Heroes Season 1 DVD boxset and gift vouchers from Esprit! Haha, I have stuff to watch on lonely weekend nights liao. :-p
Thanks to the team!

The birthday card, DVD and gift vouchers

The presents certainly brought a smile to my face and made my day better. (Because I'm sick lah!) Once again, thank you to everyone.

Nothing but a big Thank You!

I have got so many thank yous to say to so many people, especially the ones who rack their brains and move their muscle to make my quarter-century birthday party a major success.

A really BIG BIG Thank you to...

Virgil - For planning this whole party months ago and pulled so many strings to get the chalet booked, the <strike>cheapest</strike> most worthwhile caterer, the ever-popular chocolate fountain etc etc etc... This won't happen without you.

Samuel and Wesley - For taking leave from work and army to help out in the preparation of food, decoration, cleaning up, buying groceries. Especially to Samuel for being my BBQ chef of the night. And Wesley for making breakfast for us the next morning, when everyone haven't slept enough.

Nina - For collecting the very very huge cake and helping to handle our last minute groceries shopping list. And also for preparing the food and cooking too. It's a pity you can't stay on late.

Jasmine - For helping in the kitchen to wash up and clean up, especially the chocolate fountain, which is a real pain to clean. And also for making breakfast for us too.

Lastly, everyone who turned up. YOU made this party alive and kicking. Hope the food is to everyone's taste and had fun. Sorry if there wasn't much chance to catch up with you, there were just too many things to look after.

I am still in the midst of uploading the photos. They will be up here once I get the cable to transfer them. :-)

Christmas comes early...

I decided to have a Xmas theme for my blog just reflect the current mood I'm having now - Christmas-y!!

If you have been living under a rock, you would have noticed that Xmas mood is already thick in the air. Shopping centers have already started their Xmas sales, Orchard Rd is lit up bright, shops are playing Xmas songs, shops that sells decorations are doing great business from all the Xmas deco they sell...

Now, with all these factors, does it make you feel like Xmas has come early? Doesn't it make you want to spend, spend and spend?

Ok, I digress.

But anyway, I like Xmas. Especially the presents. Heh. My colleague bought stockings and gave me one on Monday. Totally brighten up an otherwise gloomy Monday. She made it for the few people around her cubicle so we have like stockings hanging around our working area.

A new job to start the new year. In case you haven't already know, I no longer work in MTV and have joined a research agency.

As today marks the first day at work, the morning was occupied by an orientation by the HR manager, followed by a tour by my team's secretary to the whole office, introducing me to almost everyone in the company.

Just to clarify what I mean by team. There are a number of research teams in the agency, each team handling different accounts ie. clients. (think client servicing) The team that I belong to is a group of 6 persons which comprises of 1 project director (PD), 1 project manager (PM), 1 team secretary and 3 other researchers, including me. An Associate Director will be in charge of the whole team (that's us). Hence, my immediate superior would be either the PD or PM.

Ok, with that made clear, the PD called for a team lunch to welcome me into the team. My very first company lunch. It was first decided at Sketches at Bugis Junction but later changed to Miss Clarity Cafe. Though it was rather overwhelming for me at first but I guess I still managed to engage in some conversation with them.

Back at the office after lunch, I was given some reading materials regarding market research and other projects they have done to read, just to get me familiarise with the process and procedure of handling a research project. There will also be training sessions for the newcomers on Friday and an induction talk given by the MD on Monday.

Oh, one more thing.
RIGHT OUTSIDE THE MD'S OFFICE.
Yes, that's the Managing Director. When her door is open and she sits at her desk, she can just see me, with my back facing her. So whatever I surf or am working on will be so blatantly exposed to her. Damn, no more MSN and blogging from the office already. Haha...

So, the first day of my new job is rather peaceful and I have the luxury of taking my time to understanding and accustom myself to the company's culture. Overall, I kinda like the orientations and team lunch as it makes a newbie like me feel at home faster. There's even a welcome email to he whole company to formally introduce the newbies today. Let's just hope the rest of my stint here is peaceful and smooth-sailing.

Looking back and ahead...

Looking back and summing up the year, I must say it had been an eventful year for me. How? Let me count the ways...

Jan to May - My last semester of studies in NUS. A very last attempt to improve my CAP score. Although it didn't reach the realm of 4.0, having 3.66 is good enough for me. Not forgetting a completion of a minor in Chinese Studies along side my major.

31 Jan - Organised a medium-sized gathering for CNY at my place, where every guest had to potluck and give auspicious names to their dishes. A success.

04 Feb - Celebrated RJ's birthday with dinner at a Chong Qing steamboat restaurant. Coincidentally, that day was when Chingay took place. First hand experience of walking down a closed Orchard Road to immerse in the party mood.

19-23 May - Thailand trip with Vir, Xiaoshi and John. Really enjoyed this trip with heaps of shopping, walking (as usual) and room service. The excellent company helps too.

26 May - Had a dinner outing with Vir, Des, Wes, Alan, Sam, Alvin. Kinda forgot what was the occasion. Was it to celebrate Vir's birthday in advance or a gathering to welcome Des back from Thailand? I think was to give Vir a pre-NS dinner. Alicia joined us later for drinks at CHIJMES, which was a good chance to utilise my Martini card.

27 May - First time joined Vir for his company BBQ at his colleague's house. Was to celebrate his entry to NS and farewell for some of the employees. Had loads of fun, laughter and silly drunkard antics.

17 Jun - First book out for Vir and an advance birthday celebration for him. Dinner at Sakae and K-Boxed at Parkway Parade. Godma and Caleen joined in the fun too.

03 Jul - First job came which I was offered an intern position in one of my dream organisations, MTV Asia. It didn't felt like working everyday because I am doing something I like and it doesn't hurt to see the VJs walking around in the office and tune in to MTV during working hours. Even so, deep inside the core of MTV isn't that glamorous.

10 Jul - Graduation day beckons. The day when I don the graduation robe. Dad, cousin, JH and RJ was there. The CNM cohort that graduated without honours was small, luckily Tianlong was there. It was a simple and rather mellow celebration of sorts, probably due to the fact that I had to work the next day. Maybe I should wait for JH and RJ to graduate in 2007 and make it up as a joint celebration.

Some days in Aug & Sept - Attended some events (separately) organised by MTV and its clients. Another first-hand experience on how a corporate party is like. Partied up close with the VJs too. Cool!

Mid Oct - MTV announced the long awaited retrenchment news. Rumours were abuzz in the media industry. Morale in the office hit an all time low and motivation went downhill from there. Experienced staff were asked to leave. Unaffected ones planned to leave as well.

22 Oct - A rather unpleasant belated birthday lunch for JH, which resulted in some sulky faces. Late tea-time at Xin Wang Cafe managed to save this uneasy feeling. So sorry pal...

Mid Nov - Felt that it is time to step out of my comfort zone and look for another job, preferably a permanent one. An offer was made to me and MTV decided to make me stay by offering me an astronomical amount, but I still declined, but allowed myself to stay on till end Dec.

02 Dec - Farewell lunch for Des before he leaves for the USA for a minimum of 2 years. Had a very, very satisfying meal and continued with KTV after that. Vir surprised him with a video montage of all the wonderful times we shared together. Managed to 'squeeze' some tears from him.

08 Dec - A very sad day for all of us indeed. Woke up very early to reach the airport at 7am to send Des off. Can see that everyone there was trying to hide their sadness somehow. But still tears still flowed when we finally bade our goodbyes as he entered the departure gates. We'll miss you dearly my friend...

25 Dec - The X'mas party that was held over by a year has came back with a bang this year. I prefer to call it the Pink X'mas Party where the dress code for the night was pink. (Duh!) All guests had their fill, of food, fun, laughter and presents. No one went home empty-handed. Many thanks to Vir for taking the trouble organising this party for me.

29 Dec - My last official day in MTV. It was kinda sad because I really liked the place, but I knew I had to gain experience and grow as an working individual. Perhaps in future, I might be back again.

31Dec to 01Jan 07 - Nothing beats counting down to a new year with my dearest friends whom I love so dearly. Thanks to Alicia for getting us the VIP passes to the Siloso beach party. Thanks to JH and RJ for always being there and always reminding me not to rest on my laurels. Thanks Vir...for everything.

So what's next for 2007? Let's just make everyday fruitful and less scornful.

The Cannery...can?

With the free invite I won for myself, me, Vir and Alicia went down to check out the launch of The Cannery. It is the latest addition to the Singapore's nightlife. It is actually made up of number of bars, clubs and restaurants situated side-by-side each other, which occupies the Cannery Lane. (hence the name)

We reached Clarke Quay at around 10pm, just as stated on our invites. The place was already packed with people who came for the free-flow earlier. They had cordoned off a part of the lane so that people on that night can actually enter all the clubs with just 1 invite. (I think entry to each place is charged separately.) We decided the best way to explore the place was to start from the first outlet and walk down the lane. The first place was at Bice Bistro, an Italian eatery that once came to Singapore but wind up its business. Now it's back again. Following that was Fashionbar, a spin-off from the channel called Fashion TV. From outside, the decor is chic and classy, definitely a place to be seen. Next is the main club that everyone is trying to get in, The Clinic. From the name, you can guess that the place is inspired a clinic or a place associated with medicine. We enter the Clinic to check out its unique concept.

Upon entering, the place eludes a spacey feeling, especially with its white walls and white lights. As we walked around inside, we realised that the whole compound is divided into many small rooms, each comes with a unique name and a sliding door that can be activated by a button on the side. Each room is named after a kind of drug, Sarin, Morphine, Caffeine etc. Every room is also shaped like a drug, triangular, capsule, circular.

Another unique feature of The Clinic is that there are staircases hidden around the whole place and the doors that lead to them are well concealed as they are the same colour as the walls. It took us quite a while to figure out how to get to the 2nd level. That is after exploring a couple of corridors that lead to the toilets. (Yes, even toilets are not labelled)

The main dancefloor of the Clinic is called Morphine, and is also the largest room in the whole club. After successfully locating the stairs, we went up to the 2nd level for a look. It was equally packed but we are still able to inch our way around the capsuled-shaped room. Such a coincidence, I bumped into my Kor, who was standing just in front of me. (There were just too many people and I didn't notice him at all) Alicia saw her group of clients/friends and mingled with them. It was only then that I realised that our 2 Singapore Idols were sitting just beside their tables. Yes, Taufik and Hady were spotted there that night. With their presence identified, a photogrpaher came over to take photos of them and instantly created a human traffic jam as people stopped and surrounded them. Luckily, me and Vir decided to go down to get drinks early, if not we will be stuck there as well.

After purchasing our drinks, we settled in one of the rooms and enjoy some 'people-watching'. As the music didn't interest us, we decided to make a move and explored other clubs. But when we got to the entrance, the queue outside has gotten so long that the security has to exercise some crowd control. We reckon that this is not a good time to leave yet as it will be impossible to enter again later and other clubs might be equally packed as well. So we headed back to the 2nd level of Morphine. Now Morphine is less crowd probably because the Idols are gone. Vir spotted another room hidden away in a corner and called us to check it out.

This brilliant room is called Aurum. A restaurant by day, club by night. Keeping with the medical concept, the decor of Aurum mirrors that of an operating theatre. The DJ spins on an operating table, lit up by lights used during surgery. The main fun part of Aurum is that instead of the usual coffee tables and chairs, the furniture are all movable. (read: attached with wheels) In fact, the 'chairs' are in the form of wheelchairs, in gold no less, and 'tables' are the operating kind. So that is the trick to converting a restaurant to a dancefloor so quickly. With the wheelchairs strewn around the place, everyone was fooling around with it, wheeling around, bumping into other clubbers in wheelchairs. For a moment, it really looks like an asylum where the instituitionalised wheel about. However, we couldn't resist this chance to fool around and each of us grabbed wheelchair and ended up playing 'bumper wheelchairs'. (Photos will be up soon.)

After bumping around for a while, Alicia wanted to call it a night and so we collected our bags and left the Clinic. We continued our way down the lane to look-see at other clubs, and also exit the The Cannery. As we left, people were still queuing to get in and even the re-entry line is very long. It was the time when the parties everywhere had just started.

For me, after visiting the 2 newly open clubs, I still feel that my preference lies with St. James Powerstation. The music, the space, the people. Even though it is rather 'de-centralise', it is worth spending a weekend night there, dancing away. And with so many variety under the same roof, groups of people with differing tastes in music will not get bored. But then again, these clubs are still very raw in the scene, it will take a few months to see if their concepts are popular with the clubbing crowd.

Weeknight clubbing - Powerhouse and Bellini Room

It was not long ago that I attended an clubbing event on a week night. It was organised by my company, held in MOS.

Last night, I got an invite to the launch of Powerhouse, the main clubbing compound inside St. James Powerstation.

First impression of that place was that it's really huge and they have really high ceilings. This will be very useful in preventing the place from getting too stuffy. The air-condition is powerful too. I don't think I perspired while dancing last night. (Or maybe I wasn't dancing enough)

The music is generally house, with a few mashed-up pop songs (Madonna's Jump was played last night.). Needless to say , it never fails to be a dancefloor-puller. For me, all it takes was just a glass of whiskey green tea and I'm in the mood already. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have like-minded people around to bring the party to another level.

One interesting thing that happened last night was that I found myself dancing around people whom I have only met once. You see, my friend with me last night has this magical gift of starting conversations with strangers and then proceed to exchange namecards and phone numbers. So in a way, I tagged along and he introduced me to these people (whom I still call them strangers) as well. Soon, we were laughing, dancing, drinking (they, not me) like we have known each other for long. I guess that's what people get from clubbing. To make new friends, to get picked up, to have a good time. And then wake up the next morning forgetting who you partied with last night.

I continued dancing in Powerhouse still 1am plus, totally throwing out the idea that I still have to work the next day. Alas, my friend signalled me to a make a move home, which is when I stopped. However, it is not the end yet. He wasn't intending to leave the place, instead he wanted to pop by to another club in the same compound, where his new-found friends are chilling out. So since, I'm still energetic from the dancing and fatigue has not set in yet, I am game to explore another new place. So, we proceeded to the Bellini Room.

The Bellini Room is a totally different environment from Powerhouse. Upon entering the club, the interior decor stuck me as very chic, contemporary and classy. Bottles of alcohol line the walls as I walk in. The red glow coming from behind the bottles give the place a sexy feeling. Mirrors on the other side of the wall makes the space looks roomy and uncluttered. As I get pass the bar counter, I was greeted by a live jazz band and a rather comfy space in front of it called the dancefloor. The center was occupied by cushioned seats, obviously reserved for the rich and the willing-to-spend; surrounding the center were long white tables and high chairs.

The live jazz band was playing and immediately I fell in love with this place. Jazz music, swinging big band era, rock 'n' roll, there are just so many reasons to hit the dancefloor. And not to mention that the male singer (resident, I think) has a good voice and a way to charm the audience. This place is suitable for executive, yuppies and people who want to have fun and not have their hearing lost. After 'stealing' a few drinks from the new-found friends, we hit the dancefloor again. This time, we were doing the Twist, the Swimming and all things retro. To me, it's the kind of place when I want to have good clean retro fun.

We stayed till the band played its last song and it was already past 2am. We exchanged our goodbyes and thanks (1 guy even handed me his namecard) and headed out finally to share a cab home with my friend.

Call me swaku or anything you like, but last night was really an experience that I have never had before. Getting to know strangers on the dancefloor, chatting up with just the person beside you, dancing like I have never did in a long time. Perhaps this is the norm lifestyle when I get into the working society. Meeting up with clients and business partners, attending their events and inviting them for yours, drinking with them etc. But whatever it is, I still believe in moderation and self-control, because attending such events too often can be a hazard to my health and my wallet. And not on a WEEK NIGHT please!

My friend had taken pictures and videos of that night. I'll post them up when I get them from him.

Decisions on a Monday

This morning I called the new company and finalised the job offer with them. So, it's official. I am starting 2007 in a new company, new working environment, new challenges.

I also told my VP about my decision and he was rather cool about it. It was good that he understand where I am coming from by going over to an agency, to want to learn the ropes from scratch and lay a strong foundation for myself. However, he did ask me if I am interested to stay until end December, to work a complete month, to which I said yes. It will mean more income for me and at least I do not idle for the last 3 weeks. But this still require the approval from HR department.

AND as mentioned in a previous entry, here the pictures of the birthday presents I got this year.

CK euphoria men from Vir

Body Shop oceanus set from Godma

Mini Toons voodoo doll coin bank(left) and handphone strap(right) from Desmond

BreadTalk chocolate cake from a colleague

Once again, thank you very much for all the presents and wishes.

不来就不来，一来就好几个来

Friday is here again. I really can't wait for the weekend to come, especially it's already December and the X'mas bug is starting to infect me soon.

This week was a dramatic week at work, which clearly demonstrates that LIFE really depends on the choices one make.

With my current contract ending soon with this company, I was glad to be given a job offer from another company. Although I would be starting from scratch and drawing beginner's pay, I believe this job makes me feel more secured and grow with this new company. The new job will be on the agency side which allows me to learn everything regarding research from scratch.

At the same time, in the twist of events, my current company is suddenly offering a much attractive remuneration package to entice me to stay on. This is especially after my manager had threw them a time bomb by tendering his resignation. The new package will include an extension of my contract for 4 months, a promotion, increased salary (by more than 100%), and a priority to get converted to permanent staff once HR gets the green light from the US head office. (Yes, my employment status is still a contract with them due to directives from USA)

Frankly, I don't know how to choose. The revised pay they are giving me is bloody attractive, but the long-term scenario seems unstable, especially judging from what I have seen in the past months. This new company on the other hand offers job security, training on the job etc, but the starting salary is rather below my expectations.

Upon reading up to this point, it may seem that I have already made up my decision. Well, from the events that happened in this week, it is true that a larger portion of my heart is telling me to take up the new job offer. But as usual, I need a confirmation that my decision will be a correct one. (But yah, in the end I have to bear the consequences of whatever decision I made is it?)

Like my Dad said, ”这种东西，不来就不来，一来就好几个来。” (Kind of like the state of our public buses hor?)

Anyway, I have to give the answer to the new company by Monday. At the same time, I will need to let my VP know about my decision. Haiz, so full of choices.

Updates

Title is self-explanatory, but there are some things to elaborate which I find no motivation to write it all out. Perhaps when I find the mood next time. Anyway, here are the obligatory updates over the weekend & Monday.

Saturday (11 Nov)
Dad was off to Beijing on Friday, leaving me home alone for the next few days. Laze at home till 6 plus because it practically rained the whole afternoon away and I was supposed to meet the gang for dinner at Godma's place. Dinner was fabulous with lotsa dishes. Although they were simple home-cooked food, but it was prepared with TLC: tender, love and concern, something that one could never get from the hawkers. Godma's flat is really huge, even though it is a HDB flat. Guess old flats are still gems, if you know how to renovate and upkeep them. We left her place at around 1 plus in the morning.

Sunday (12 Nov)
Nothing exciting was done today as i woke up close to noon time. I did some housekeeping and accompanied Vir to buy food for his rabbit. Later in the evening, I prepared myself, physically and mentally, for the interview the next day.

Monday (13 Nov)
I got a feeling that today is a bad day for me when I knocked my knee against the door frame, forgot to wear my watch and the bloody bus and train were late. All these happened in the morning. Luckily my manager and VP were out of town. Left the office for the interview at The Gateway. Overall, it went well I think, answering extensively to the questions posed to me. There was a test as well, the usual analysis type of questions. Wonder if I get a second interview? Finished the session close to 5pm. Seeing that it was rather redundant to go back the office, I headed home.

In my mind, there's a lot of events and activities that I want to do. Either I don't have the motivation to do it, or no moolah to do it. Can say that I lose my motivation easily these days. Perhaps I need an activity partner?

Got enough friends?

How many friends do you need?

Enough to laugh with you? Enough to cry with you? Enough to understand you? Enough to hear you talk about your insecurities? Enough to finish your sentences? Enough to surprise you on your birthday? Enough to drop everything else and rush to your side when you need them? Enough to know that they will never make you feel second class?.........

Is it ever enough?

Go figure...

For the record: I believe that one can never make enough friends, but having some very close ones is enough. Admittedly, being human, I am not friend enough for some friends.
